Tailored rear & back window sun shades for saloon

Featured Replies

My Superb is finally going (trading in for something a bit more economical!) so I'm selling my tailored rear side and back window sun shades. I'm aware that I can't advertise them on Briskoda, so just wanted to let you know that they're up on Gumtree if anyone's interested.

I'm guessing you've sold these?

I have the rear side window blinds already but am looking for something for the rear boot window...

Does anyone know if Skoda do a rear window / boot sun shade for the Twindoor?

I can see they do one for the estate...

But I'd like one for me twindoor.

All of the aftermarket / non-genuine ones are in two parts so you have a great thick join right down the middle of the rear window...

Does no body do a single piece one for the Twindoor?

The OESunshade ones (now Van Style) have always been in two pieces because of the size of the window - if the shade was a single piece over time it would sag, hence they build in 2 sections.

I had a two piece rear blind on my Octavia Estate and to be honest never really noticed the join, yes it is noticeable but you soon get used to it and IMO it didn't hamper rearward vision whilst reversing.

You get used to the join down the middle.  The vanstyle ones are great value for money.

I had some problems fitting the rear blinds as there was some overlap between the two pieces.  After emailing them pictures of it they sent me a whole new set of blinds, so I can't fault their after care either.

Windesa also sell sunshades: http://www.windesa.com/Sonnenschutz__en_.html

So did I and still do in the wives fabia. Great pieces of kit

Could you not get the rear sunblind in the rear parcel shelf? I have left mine up all the time.

I didn't know this existed. Is it standard on the Elegance?

I am having problems with this company uvcarshades, bought them off the company through e-bay however the rear one don't fit as they are too long for the window. I reported this to them 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting on them telling me what they are going to do about it. As you can see in the photos they overlap and they shouldn't I cant push them any further in to the corners of the rear window.

rab, I had exactly the same problem with my rear shades.  They first sent me some extra clips, as iirc you only get 3 for the rear.  That still didn't work, so they sent me a complete new set.  But they were replying same-day on email.

Try calling them on the number on their website - it's the same company as the ebay seller.

Not standard an extra, had it on one of my previous hatchbacks, easy to get the rear parcel shelf with the retractable blind in it but can't remember the fittings in the roof.

Unfortunately the people that make these are not very good at running an eBay shop -I had problems getting a response out of them regarding the delivery times on my eBay order (took 2 weeks and hadn't received them). Make a note of your order details and give them a ring: 01623 797 358 they were fine once I got hold of them on the phone and the product was good quality and arrived next day.

Don't know but I can get a picture and see if I can get a part number off it.

Great, thanks Nathanio,

A quick Google search of the part number revealed these...

It seems like to get this version of the rear blind I'll need a new parcel shelf which sounds expensive!

I haven't got that little dimple area on mine. But it works really well. Also good as I don't have the auto dimming mirror.
