Oil for octavia vrs Mk1

Featured Replies

Hi all, I was in Tesco today and noticed the have Castrol Magnatec 5-30 fully synthetic half price at £9 for 2 litres... :o

I have the Mk1 Octavia vrs 2003 with 90k on the clock and have always stuck Mobil1 fully synthetic in. However, with this oil being nearly £50 a tub and the car getting older it aint the cheapest.

I have always changed the oil within 10k (want to protect that turbo lol) but would it really hurt if I switched to this Castrol it seems a bit of a bargain to me...

advice cheers!

What's up with the quantum oil from the dealers? 5 litres, oil filter and sump plug for around 27 quid. Correct spec fully synthetic oil, genuine filter and sump plug lol
