central locking stopped working,

Featured Replies

My central locking has stopped working for some reason?? I have changed the battery in the fob, I have checked the car battery (12.8v) and followed a guide to try and reset the fob by putting the key in the ignition, and then pressing the unlock button 8-10 times followed by pressing the lock button 8-10 times, this did nothing.

The little red light on the fob is working, and the led in the door is flashing when its being unlocked/locked by using the key, but nothing when I press the buttons on the fob.

Any ideas please.

cheers

anyone got any ideas please.

Looks like it may of lost its code completely. Probably need recoded with diagnostic gear, there maybe someone near by that could help??

I know the key fobs can block themselves if they are operated too much out of range, ie sitting in work playing with it. There's a process in the user's handbook to fix this, although I assume this is what you were trying originally? Firstly though, do you have a spare and does it work?
