Skoda's are a pleasure to work on.

Featured Replies

I just have to say that i find my Octy a pleasure to work on. Feeling quite happy with the car lately...

Admittedly i have replaced most stuff over the years and so every , nut / bolt / fixing comes undone easy, and i have to say have no major issues servicing and working on the car at all......probably will now I said this.. lol

Not can be the same for my friend's Ford Focus . I changed the rear springs over the weekend on it. What I thought would be 1 hours job was a nightmare.

All bolts seized in the control arm bushes arghhhhh

Done it in the end .

The VAG platform of cars seems very well sorted. nuff said..

Nothing quite as fun as getting stuck in :)

I have found vag cars much better to work on, as modern cars go ! I have come from french cars (mainly citroens !) to my octavia and i am impressed. I have worked on a few vw s and they have been good.

All my previous cars have been Nissans and they snap bolts too easy but the Octavia is much more better except sometimes there is very limited space.

I find the front crashbar/bumper very handign for kneeling on whilst working on the engine. I'm tihnking of making myself a little cushion or somethign to put on there in fact !

I find them a complete pain to work on, mainly due to space restriction. My old Octavia even put me in hospital once :D
