it'll be an SDi not a TDi, lack of turbo and it will tell you on the V5 I think.

Does this help??

Mk2 Octavia diesels either use the PD or CR engine both have the NO BIO DIESEL sticker on the inside of the filler cap flap.

The only possibility for running an octavia on bio diesel is to get a SDI.

Which means you need a mk1 octavia, as the sdi was not available in the mk2. However they built mk1 classic spec octavias with sdi engines well after the mk2 came out.......kind of a taxi spec model.
