Advice: Cruise Control and Remapped Cars

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I am looking for a little advice. I had cruise retrofitted and it has never worked properly. My car is remapped, putting out about 235bhp. She had some flatspots in the powerband which seemed to knock out the cruise, and this was improved with fitting a different MAF; however, I still occasionally get a flatspot/hesitation.

Usually, the cruise works from a fresh start in the morning, but then starts and stops throughout the day as I use the car. Often, it will stop working all together, and she will need to be parked up for some time before it will start working again. Occasionally, she will go into limp mode (which she did this morning, I thought I had popped a hose, but hadn't), with the cruise packing up just before this happened. There are no error codes, so I am a bit stumped.

Just wondering if anyone else has found a solution to this sort of problem. Clutch and brake switch are good. Stalk was replaced.

b/w

Pete
