New Forest Ambulance accident today - Yeti at the scene

Featured Replies

Not good!

Not a reg number that has been mentioned on here, as it is quite memorable as a personalised plate. (ends in LSA)

The actual article says a 20 year old man that caused this accident has been arrested for dangerous driving... Wonder if he was the Yeti driver? Sad accident either way.

Not many 20yo's driving Yetis. Long straight stretches. Whatever, dreadful

Yeti's are used as hire cars, so 'young' drivers are possible

There's a picture of a Seat Alhambra on a flatbed, so I'm guessing he was driving that. Two bad accidents in one day.

Yes, the article cited by Johann says the arrested man had been driving the Seat.

Yes there's also been that terrible mini bus accident over on the 62; a very sad day for all concerned.

Ah ok... I didn't see the SEAT bit. Terrible day indeed.

And the BBC article now says he was a 25 year old Seat Alhambra driver

My thoughts go to all the innocent parties involved in this tragic accident and also to their families and loved ones.

i know that stretch of road quite well, it is quite a fast section of road, you get a lot of cars towing caravans etc so there is always somebody overtaking something or other at silly speeds along there

VERY unpleasant for all involved.

I'm thinking of geting a Yeti but my wife's not convinced. It would be a good

idea to hire one for a few days to try it out.

How easy is it to hire one and can you recommend a company to contact?

I agree,at times seems like i'm the only one actually :bandit:
