Chinese LEDs.......(again)

Featured Replies

These are genuine OEM Skoda LED clusters for the Chinese market.

Yes, they will physically fit a vRS hatch.

The unknown is if the Chinese spec Octavia's are the same spec (CANBUS wise) to our European spec models.

There are a number of similar threads on here, some have got the lights to work (but needed to make adjustments to get the full 'C' shape of LED's to work).

mark_eire has just fitted some of these to his pre-FL hatch. Pics and info in his build thread...

Shame they don't fit the estate. I rather like them...

Yeah i PM'd mark but unfortunately he bought them from someone who had already prepped them for another car (resistors in place i think).

My main concern would be the full "C" shape not working correctly as silver1011 mentioned earlier.

If you look at mark_eire's photo at night the lights look stunning but i dont know if i want to take this risk (my electrical knowledge just isnt that good)

I like em. Not a bad price for a pair inc postage.

if you are going to fit these on a pre facelift non-vRS then you'll need to sort something out with regards to red reflectors, all cars in use in the UK are required to have them on the rear. The facelift has had the reflectors relocated to the bumper for all models, just like on the pre facelift vRS. The lights shown in the first link are for a facelift car, so as I said you must also add reflectors or you will most likely fail the MOT for not having them.

Too much faff potentially and I think they look vile - I'm out
