which clay bar

Featured Replies

hi. would like some advice on some more products to get for cleaning my black fabia vrs. have pretty much a full autoglym kit and next am thinking about a clay bar. are there any that anyone would recommend? have about 50 to spend.

I use the Bilt Hamber one. Its lubricated with water rather than the extra expense of a Quick Detailer which the others need. Further to that, I always use `De-ionised` water so as I go from panel to panel I don't leave any water marks.

Good luck with your efforts.

Mike.

Built hamber is a good call. I've also used the Meguiars pack which comes with quick detailing spray, microfibres and some wax from memory. Just remember, don't rub too hard, keep it lubricated and bin it if it falls on the floor. One tip is to break the clay bar into a few pieces in case you drop a bit.

If you are halfords shopping the Megs clay kit is fine.

Sonus green or Zaino clay if buying online!

Bilt Hamber for me...Great clay...soapy water as the lubricant..dead easy to use too

I have used branded clay bars and had good results, but a post on DW made me purchase the cheap chinese stuff from ebay and it was about £3 for a couple of big 160G bars, and used it for the first time last week, worked really well, OK the structure was slightly more crumbly than a branded clay but just kept on folding it and it worked a treat, with some diluted QD in a spray bottle as lube and it was excellent, only thing it didnt work really well on was a couple of really heavy tar deposits but some tar remover job done, for the money it was great value, and no clay marring at all!!! Recommended!

All my Cleaning/detailing products are Bilt Hamber
