Body work repair (extreme)

Featured Replies

Wow, doubt that would ever happen in the UK, as that car would be deemed "straight to crusher" / parts only I think.

Condition as new.. Drives real good. :(

Whilst a most interesting thread, it might have been better to post it in the Yeti Forum (Yeti general section) rather than here in the "Technical Guides" which is normally kept for technical information and "How to" guides.

Posting "Other" threads only makes it more difficult to find technical information as the number of threads expand with non relevant topics.

Perhaps a moderator would move it?

Great pictures though! - I am sure others would have liked to see them. Which they will do if this thread is moved................Tony :hi:

Don't others look down the 'New Content' list, as we do?

CRAZY! but the end results.. amazing. well done to the crew the made a fantastic job

I've corrected that for you :giggle:

Now back to the Goon Show.

Just because it's a Yeti it could easily be in the General Car Chat section as many would be interested in seeing it. Lots of us use the New Content option. Saves loads of time

I would never buy that Yeti, what condition is the subframe in????

Excuse me, young man - I was referring to those of us who do :hi: !

One careful lady owner . . . . . .

The early photos made me think they were making it into a convertible, as Top Gear did with that Espace !!

A Yeti saved! I Hate to see any car go to the grave.

BUT it has to me done correctly and safely. I hope the Yeti was given plenty of anesthetic given the extent of the surgery as that looked painful. Sometimes its better to let them go to sleep....

shows what can be done given time and knowledge,

can anyone on here with proper bodyshop skills / knowledge say if it was done properly and would probably pass relevant inspections? and still be crash worthy?

to my untrained eye, seems to have been done fairly well, but I don't understand where / how joints are made in a modern vehicle affect strength of the structure in event of impacts

one thing I do note is no apparent damage to the floor pan, or inner wings as these do not appear to be shown being repaired
