Another m.o.t passed

Featured Replies

My octy pass its M.O.T today again with no advisory. (thats five years with no advisorys)

The mot tester said it was one of the best car he has ever tested

Just as a thought being a 1.9 TDI with a shark remap, a large bore down pipe with no pd filter, egr delet, and a ccv mod the smoke test came out at 0.45m-1and the pass limit is 3.00m-1. Just wondering if that is good?

Well done dude. I hear the tester was pleased with the new bushes and brakes :)

I'd say that's good. Can't remember what mine was like last year though. Between 1 and 2 I think

Mine is due in tomorrow (although a new garage). Since I elephant mod'd it, there is little point doing the emissions test ;-)

I got my octavia just over two years ago, I've had it through two MOT's and had one advisory and nothing on the other. I'm happy with that but 5 years is brilliant I bet your over the moon?

Mine just passed too.

0.34 l/m.

The garage commented "what a tidy car for the age".

Advisory Items:

- Tyres wearing on inside edge was due to dodgy tracking

- rear brake friction material wearing thin

and then written on a piece of paper:

- rear indicator lights a bit white-ish

- light from number plate lights a bit weak

My broken rear bump-stop didn't even get a mention

Both my rear bump stops were on the advisory 3+ years ago but not mentioned since!

I must replace the bump stop as now I am back on summer tyres with a stiffer sidewalls it bangs about more when traversing the council enforced speed limit devices.
