Fabia vRS owner to be says...er, hello!

Featured Replies

Hello Folks!

So having passed my test in Nov. 2000 , I rush out to, um ... not do much of anything, really :uglyhamme.

Until now that is and a red Fabia vRS it has to be. 130BHP x affordable supermini x 55MPG x excellent reviews = LMAO :huep:.

I don't have any sort of driving history, so finding sensible Third Party F&T insurance is proving to be something of a 'challenge' :banghead: . Got quoted

If you havent driven for that long, I'd just go out for a drive with an instructor, or with a mate who doesn't drive like a looney ;)

That way you won't kill yourself & you'll be able to enjoy the Furby even more :D

55 mpg is a tad optimistic, I'm hitting 43..44 on my daily commute (A34/M4) at reasonable pace, usually including some traffic jamming at Reading, and a bit of 70ish mph work, plus a bit of town driving.

If you purchase the car, and you're getting it new as well, try to get Fully Comp regardless. If you were to write it off, you'd be pretty miffed if you were then without a car. I know, it's a f*ckload of money :(

My first car (Dutch myself) was a UK car as I went here for work first for some reason. It was a lowly 1.1 Fiesta Y-reg. That cost me 1800 quid with third party/F&T.

As for Furby online manual - they don't really exist, although you can see most of the usual controls on the Skoda site. It's pretty standard controls-wise.

You gonna get a second hand one?

Nice first motor btw :D

Thanks for the advice regarding insurance.

Don't know if I'm gonna get it second hand. These Fabia vRS's seem to hold on to their value pretty damn well. I've seen quite a few going for
