Timing Belt

Featured Replies

All

Had my Octy 2 for two years now having bought it with 45k on the clock, at which point it had a new timing belt. Been fully serviced and now approaching 100k, when do I do the timing belt again?

regards

Timing belt every 4 years I believe - best to replace water pump too (it's relatively cheap if done together with timing belt).

There is a mileage limit for the belts too but tbh I can't recall what it is for the tdi.

Skoda uk recommend every 4 years or (i think 60,000miles petrol, poss 80,000 miles for the pd diesel,120,000 miles for the cr diesel)as you have done 55,000 miles since it was last replaced 2 years ago id say you would be ok for another year or 25,000 miles yet. (this is only my opinion).
