Fabia 3 vrs

Featured Replies

Hi guys, have not been on for a bit due to work and familty commitments.

Really enjoy my vRS just wondered if any idea when the Mark 3 will appear (presume vRs follows 3 - 6 months later). Had a quick look through the forums and the net in general and lots of mock up shots of what the Fabia 3 might look like but not definate details.

Secondly if we are still 2 - 3 years away from this new model I may consider ordering another vRS at the end of the year but switch to the estate just to get a bit more room in the back for the kids and all the stuff that goes with them. I presume estate owners are as (if not more) satisfied with there vRS estates ?

Cheers

Didn't the Fabia 2 come out in 2008 with the first VRS models appearing in 2010? With that logic the next VRS won't be out until about 2016!

The current Mk 2 Fabia Estate vRS is possibly the stand out bargain for a new estate cars, at the price they can be bought.

5 year warranty for not much money.

Thats If you want something a bit sporty, autobox & petrol.

So many other Manufacturers Cars and especially estate cars are becoming so expensive.

Skoda are not so daft to wait that long to bring out the mk3 VRS in my view.

Look at the Octy 3. The car came and the VRS is only months away.

If the new mk3 Fabia arrives in 2014 I'd expect teh VRS to be maybe 3 to 6 months (max) behind it.

Skoda can't afford to have such a good seller missing in the range for that long IMO, they made that mistake with the mk2.

The mk2 VRS estate is a lot of car for the money with the VAT off, but baring in mind it's based on the mk1 I can only see the mk3 as a serious improvement.

I hear the new Ibiza is based on the MQB platform (like the new Octavia) - one wonders if the Fabia will be as well by that token? If so, then one can only assume that the vRS can follow very quickly on the modular concept as I think the Ibiza FR (although not the Cupra) was available from launch?

I've had my mk2 vRS estate for nearly a year - If you're thinking of buying one I say go for it!

Had mine for 2 years, only changed to the Rapid to save some dosh whilst the wife goes on maternity and Rapid has more space for kids stuff.

Didn't fancy a mk2 octy as its being replaced and the new one will be too expensive for a while.

I wouldn't hold your breath for a Mk3 Fabia VRS.

It seems historically that the VW group have given Skoda the dregs as far as what they're 'allowed' to do in some way, shape, or form and not to upset the hierarchical family.

They'll be late as usual to the hot hatch party with a compromise of what's on offer. I'll probably still have a look/test when it arrives, but as I mentioned, I don't expect too much.

Thanks the replies. I am very impressed with my vRS and when the summer is over I will think of changing it in early 2014 (finances allowing) but didnt want to buy another one if the Mark 3 is just around the corner.

If not firm dates from Skoda then might get a new vRS estate a it is a good car and maybe should have had it first time round due to being just that bit bigger.

If anyone knows anything firm on the Mark 3 let us know.

I did do a bit more trawling and it appears the Mark 3 should appear in 2014 at some point but no mention anywhere of a new vRS.....

I have been to the factory in melada boleslav last sept, and they showed us where the new fabia will be built, but we had no info on details, and yes, it's due in 2014 :)
