So I love the new L&K with the dsg but the gear knob insert is really naff. I know this has been raised before and other inserts seem to be available but does anyone know if they fit the new gear knob.

    knob insert is really naff.

    I am sorry but the term "knob insert" has put me right off my food and made me cringe at the thought. Some knobs have not trim but I guess that's circumstantial.

    Dragging it, kicking and screaming, back on topic....

    When you do the knob insert, make sure you clean the knob with alcohol if there's any residual sticky stuff.

    The has been a posting with a picture, I'm not able to post a photo today as we were away in Derbyshire but it just says DSG in large type face with 4X4 under that. It just looks so cheap. I've seen, for sale an insert with scripted type Yeti 4X4 which looks so much more professional. The OEM fitted one is a black background the yeti one is chrome background.

    Well I've seen worse. I don't look at my knob that much.

    Super Skoda have this one, presumably it will fit but best check with them first

    That looks better but sadly would not be suitable as it is just an insert as far as I can see.

    That is a wee bit naff for an L&K.
