Just curious has anyone gone to town on tuning their CR 170 (DSG or not whatever the case may be)? What sort of mods have been done, cost and what sort of power and torque outputs we looking at.

I'm gathering once youve gotten a remap and had the DPF removed it probably all gets rather pricey but just interested in hearing about peoples high power builds if there are any.

I've been looking on YouTube at 300+hp 1.9's and its comical how fast some of those things can move (and how damn smokey they are!).

look up Darkside Developments, Im pretty sure they were doing a Hybrid for the CR170

We have experience with a big turbo conversion CR170 and the problem getting big power is the injectors for the moment.

I can recommend Shark, run their map on my car! didnt realise they did Turbos for diesels!

What sort of power and torque you seeing with a bigger turbo? What other mods done to the car? I suppose most importantly what sort of money are we talking about? Can you divulge?

I reckon a CR 170 with remapped 2.0 TSi levels of HP and dollops more torque would b a lovely thing to hack about in; probably still be fairly fuel efficient too
