Accepted, however if you lower an Octavia 3 by 75mm you better have a steamroller driving in front of you to flatten out any speed bumps

If you take massure of the ridehigh on a standart oct. and you take lets say 70mm away, there stil a lot of space under the car, dont think it will be a problem driving over speedbumps.

You'd certainly never get away with -70mm on it around my commute in North London! Oh and my Yeti is standard ride height, does that make my car a Grandad car?!

Regarding the b pillar gap- local dealer has advised ALL their similar cars on site are similarly affected???????

Id be complaining about that answer tbh!

I think the ride height of the OP's car is spot on. Any lower would be a tad ridiculous imo!

And I agree with Yeti_Man. Go higher up the chain as that answer you got is disgraceful.

Hi matey, thanks for the PM, I've just checked mine and it's not affected as yet but I'll be keeping a close eye on it now!

Well, that pic has made the decision for me - if not a vRS, then Sports Suspension for me, That looks just about bang on!

Just found out that "sport suspension" :giggle: is Eibach springs. Save your money and buy H&R aftermarked springs instead. Better look and better handling.

But probably not for £150 fitted.......

Id be very interested in finding somewhere local that fitted a set of aftermarket springs for just £150!? Would they warrant it and any other suspension component also? :giggle: The Eibachs will be great if history is anything to go by. I had them dealer fitted pre PDI on my last Octavia VRS MK2 and drove their standard demo car back to back - great handling improvement with minimal comfort loss. Hoping this ones just the same. :)

Youre not losing warranty for changing springs, http://www.h-r.com/de/n_produkt.php?id=2224

You do in the UK I'm afraid. Anything that isn't approved and fitted by the dealer ie anything other than the eibach springs will void the warranty on the suspension related components.

All VAG Group cars are very strict on any modifications, and I doubt if Skoda are any different. That's why I wouldn't touch the tuning mod that has been posted here - you are just giving Skoda a get out of jail free card if there is a warranty issue even remotely connected with a non-OEM modification.
