First ever Skoda ordered....1.2 SE Man

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just ordered my first Skoda, Octavia Mk3 1.2 SE Manual with;

- 17" Denom's

- Metallic Silver

- Front & Rear Armrest

- Multifunction Sterring Wheel

- LED Rear Lights

Dealer says 8-10 weeks delivery, so a bit of a wait but looking forward to it already. I was reading this forum before I ordered the car and got some very useful information which I used when ordering, so, thanks all.

Update you along the way.

Very nice, I was quoted 12-16, ordered 4 weeks ago tomorrow and it is being built this week so it may be quicker!

Congratulations and welcome to the Skoda owning family, it's a great thing!

Thanks for the reply!

I don't think the dealers really know, I'm in no great rush.

Thanks again for the comment.

You are bucking the trend with an SE and it's an idea I have toyed with for my next car. My vRS is not as high a spec as an Elegance so will I miss the extra options? Arm rests, LED's and MFS are a great choice. Shame the SE can't get sports suspension. Hope you enjoy!

The SE makes a lot of sense and is probably the best compromise of the range on price v. Spec. I was all set to go for the SE, it was only after haggling for 2 hours with the salesman after our first drive, agreeing a price, going out for a second drive in their 2 litre diesel Elegance and then tongue in cheek saying ok, do the Elegance for the same price as we agreed for the SE, haggling for another hour, not expecting to do the deal when he finally caved in probably just to get rid of me!

Budget played a big part in my decision to go with the SE and the 1.2. I would have liked an Elegance but the dealer gave me a good discount on the car so I don't think he would have done an Elegance at the same price. I do think some of the options I added should be standard on a mid-range model, such as MFSW and Front Armrest. Most people will add these to an SE so that's quite a lot of extra cash for someone!

The Rear LEDs are not really needed but I thought they'd make the car stand out a little from the crowd and not too bad a price being the same as a Front Armrest.

Hi,

Just had an email from my dealer saying my car is in build week 30. Is there an average time to delivery once the car goes into build?

Typically 4-5 weeks, mine was build week 17 and it landed at the dealer last Thurs, which I believe was wk 21.

Great thanks, that puts me around late July for collection. Hopefully might see a bit of sun around that time, metallic silver looks nice in the bright sunlight.

Welcome to the forum. Let us all know what you think of it once you've done a few miles, especially as it's your first Skoda.
