Just got back from having a window-down sunshine blast in the Abarth. Getting some great pops/bangs from the exhaust! If you put your foot down hard from low revs in 2nd then short-shift up into 3rd at about 3k rpm you often get a fantastic bang as unburnt fuel in the exhaust is ignited. Sounds just like a shot-gun going off, scared the carp out of me first time it happened. Awesome for spooking pedestrians tho!!

Really wished the vRS did this. Got me thinking -what else would you wish your Furby (realistically!) did?

This is not meant to be a thread slagging off the vRS or "I wish it didn't consume oil" kind of discusson .

Now thats a million dollar question. My vRS wish list :

- Trying out a manual vRS TSI

- Much lowered suspension

- Less plastic and more chrome on the inside.

- Crome door handles instead of flopy plastic ones

- A bit of leather on the door handles

- A slightly less oil guzzling oil burner but thats everybodies wish..

I wish the 'ON' tab in the cubby really did activate the rocket launchers. I also wish it could double as a submarine a'la James Bond's Lotus.

I wish it had a media system as good as the blue and me in the fiat ! takes nearly an hour for it to load my HD, going to have to cut half my songs off it :( whats the point in being able to connect a HD if you have to be limited to about 1 gig?! the fiat system loaded up and played instantly......

I would also like xenons like gillys superb... the lights in his car are awsome.

I had a Merc C220 CDI sport for a weekend recently. The soundsystem on that was awesome!

The vRs is good value for a reason...it's built down to a price.

So if you wish it to be better you can expect a bigger price tag to go with it.

It's a good car but a Golf GTI or an S3 are better....because they cost more!!!

Agreed you can spend more to get a "better" car -I'd spank myself a Porsche or Lambo/Ferrari if I had the cash. The Furby vRS is an amazing amount of motor for the money. I was thinking more along the lines of small changes you'd like to see in order to put a smile on your face when driving it...

Indicator/headlight flash on the right so that i can shift to 'D' at Traffic lights of junctions, let off hand brake if on,

but still Flash another car to let them cross first.

Or change gear manually, hand on shifter and indicate if required.

it has a second trip setting George, pressing the bottom button (quickly) switches between 'trip 1' and 'trip 2' ....

1)auto folding door mirrors,

2)more chrome inside,

3)upgraded sound system(sub woofer i had in smart car alot better,£400 extra,

i would have paid extra for 1,2,3,if an option

Its Miles Trip on the dash i want.

Just zeroed my miles since last brimmed tank.

I like the simplicity of a vRS.

I dislike Auto Lights, Auto Wipers, bits and pieces that often play up as cars get older.

Folding Mirrors etc, even when coming as standard just adds to repair costs in the long run IME.

I like if things are Options but a basic car is still available if thats all you want.

the whole "trip computer" has a duplicate i.e "trip one" and "trip 2" just press the button on the bottom of the stalk quickly when in any trip mode i.e. av fuel economy, OR in the case yu are looking for "distance travelled" if you reset "trip 2" it will store distance traveled indefinatley, so you can in effect have 2 trip (distance) recorders.....

Trip 1 resets itself after a few hours of inactivity but trip 2 stays fixed until manual resets. I forgot all about it then looked the other day and it had been calculating the mpg for the last 1900miles lol!

Xenons are the thing I would like most on the car. So much better than even the uprated bulbs I fitted to the vRS.

^^^ Xenons are great but can judder a bit on bumpy roads.

I do love the up and down thing they do when you first switch

them on. (My drive is sloped.)

Decent paddles, not the tiny Fisher Price cheap plastic ones they come with.

Those sunroofs are very nice. I had one on my 207 GT..... But when a stone hit it and cracked it National Windscreens et al wouldn't touch it - dealer replacement only = £££££££'s !

there are new paddle snow, more "sculpted" to your fingers, feel better

a remap on your 1.9 would make it kinda equivelent to the mark I vRS 140bhp anyone?! (do it , doit , do it)
