05 Skoda Fabia 1.9TDi juddering at 2.5-3k revs when warm.

Well, after 4 months of judder-free motoring, it's back...

The problem returned a few weeks back and I decided to live with it until it was serviced again (now due soon at c150k).

Today however, after 16+ minutes it was probably as bad as I've ever experienced and the ASR light came on and it was juddering all the way through the rev range and could not be 'driven through' as it can under normal circumstances (only apparent between c2.5 and 3k revs).

I stopped in a handy gateway, turned the car off, restarted it and hey presto, all cleared... :wall:

Hoping Skoda themselves can hook the diagnostics up to it while they drive it and see for themselves, but I thought I'd shout up again on here in case anyone else has experienced the same in the 4 months when it had been behaving itself...??

ATB,

Dave.

Well, all this came to a head a few days ago when the engine light came on with the ABS light and the car was barely driveable.

I got it to the repair shop on the industrial estate where I work and they were able to plug a fault code finder into it and revealed an electrical problem associated with the injectors (sorry can't remember what the code was).

Today it was fixed for about £150 plus a subcontractor fee which involved the replacement of the "Fuel Injector Wiring Harness" and replacing the cam cover gasket.

So far I can say that I can drive it normally past the usual time into a journey when it started misfiring / juddering so hopefully all is fixed.

Trust this may help someone with a similar problem.

:whew:

Dave.

i had the same problem on my old fabia, but like you said, could only be identified when the warning light eventually appeared after two weeks. glad you got it sorted!
