Wheels and offsets

Featured Replies

Ok looking to buy a set of wheels can some one tell me if 9x18s are to wide ?

Is eth of 52 ok ?

And what would you recomend for tyre size for these?

Am clueless with this and i no your all experts

Any input as notmal would be great !!!

You will need spacers to get clearance to shock absorber in front and also in the back of the car. ET around 45 would be better.

I have 9x19" ET41 in mine and they run nicely without spacers.

Hi JaVa^,

What profile tyres are you running with on your 19"s and have you got any suspension mods, is it a vRS etc.

Do you have any images of your wheels in the arches?

Ta.

Tyres are 225/35R19 back and front, suspension H&R Monotube Coilovers with 1 cm threads left to go downwards on both ends and yes it's a vRS.

Here's a few pictures of the wheel setup:

Note that in the rear picture i have 235/35R19 tyre that i have since changed to 225/35R19 because it scratched to the inner fender on bigger bumps.

Bookmark this link for wheel fitment. Its really useful.

9x19 et41 is pretty much on the limit for mk2 octavia. 8.5 and ET45 is the preferred option with 225 40 or even 235 35 on a 19" rim.

Hope that helps

Yes, in the front it's on the limit but i had on my previous wheel setup 9,5x19 ET 45 on the rear with the same ride high as now and 235/35R19 tyres. No problems there either and i have stock camber in the rear. I think that Stamsaas has run 10x19" in the rear with maxed out camber and that probably is the limit. Although i don't remember the ET on his wheels...
