Got Price For AutoGlym Protection

Featured Replies

Dealer phoned me today telling me how much it will cost to protect my 18 month old car.........

Tell him to stick it and search ebay for an AutoGlym LifeShine kit, then get out the mop, bucket and vacuum and do it yourself.

Be wary about the interior stuff, you are GOING to get some overspray and it leaves white marks all over the trim that's a bugger to get out.

I will see him in person and try my very best to get it down.

Jebus!

Don't do it mate. Get yourself a pot of Zymol Titanium and some 3M products instead and DIY!

Front mudflaps :

There are some decent products on the market for waxing etc, the dealer is taking your pants down mate...

Fit the front mud flaps yourself, if you know which end of a screwdriver to hold its easy, even I managed to fit mine :D

As for a polish, get yourself a Swissol Shield wax kit, 2 years worth of cleaning and polishing stuff in there and it works great, I actually got quite a few comments on how deep the shine was on my 2 year old vRS when I was getting trade in prices

they fit the vrs anyway !!!!!

Fair enough. I'm so used to hearing vRS this, and vRs that, I went into a coma through vrs boredom and just assumed it was. :P

Thanks for your advice guys, will fit the mud flaps myself.

Do you know how much the dealers pay for the autoglym, i rather get someone to do it correctly then myself ruining the paint work.

If you really want a professional to valet your car, I'd get someone like Mark Underwood (ex-Swissol man). He really knows his stuff.

I *think* this is him. If not, I'd deffo pay

I understand people want to get a professional job, some people take the p*ss though,

two examples

My missus has my aunties x ford escort, i cannot believe the effort put in to this car, its 1988 and is spottless, the garage used to waxoil the chassis and all under the car to ensure no corrosion and gave it a full valet with some special stuff!!! every year for free.

My last car on the other hand i had valeted before i sold it, what a piece of p*ss

60 quid and they didnt even polish it (not that you could tell anyway)

I would rather do it myself now, although some of you guys take the wheels off etc and thats a little to much for me.

Buy all of gear inc window cleaners, wheel stuff, polish, sponges, clothes etc for proberbally
