  • I got lots of free oil with mine In the engine gearbox air con and a few other places WHAT no beer in the corner MARTIN

  • We've bought 2 new Yetis and 2 new Citigos over the last 3 years......... Absolutely NOTHING. :wonder:

None in my 2011 car when I got it, but I was left one when I got it serviced a couple of weeks ago.

None in my L&K collected today.

None in my 2011 SE and nothing since but to be fair I've never been back to the supplying dealer, I use a local accredited Service Agent as they're a 5 mile round trip as opposed to 45 miles for the supplying dealer.

Whilst not looking to have to top up the oil, was going to get a L, however perhaps there already is a bottle in the car, was not mentioned at handover, so of to check!

Sadly no oil can in the boot, either not supplied or dealer has a stack under his desk, may mention it next time I see him.

Got 1 L of Castrol Edge in mine from Henry's in Glasgow. In tool kit under floor in nice zipped bag

Here in Switzerland, a litre of oil in a bag in the boot of our new 2 litre TDI 170 BHP 4x4 Elegance delivered two days ago.

I got my Yeti in May 2011 and after reading this thread thought I'd better look under the boot floor in search of the free oil. I have to say after painstaking search it aint there, so I am a member of the nofriggingoil club!

1l of Castrol in a nice black bag with some gloves, not sure about a funnel though. I thought as SWMBO bought it that that was a she-wee thing :D

Supplied by dealer with new 1.2 petrol last month was Castrol Edge Professional 5w-30 Longlife 111 , specification VW 504 00 / 507 00.

Always thought Longlife 111 extended period between services from 10,000 miles to 15,000. If you intend changing oil at 10,000 intervals think no need for Longlife 111 just extra cost.

BUT I did have to ask for it at handover.....

Just searched my boot and no free oil there.
