Are my alloys covered by extended warranty

Featured Replies

I have noticed that one of my alloys is bubbling quite a lot. The question is would it be covered by warranty even they are on 56 plate?

I am sure i have seen a similar thread but couldnt find it, so sorry that i repeating.

Got my 2010 Seat Altea XL going in tomorrow for 4 new alloy wheels through the warranty due to bubbling paint on the inside of the spokes, there's no kurb damage what so ever so they had no leg to stand on. They tried the old trick of cleaning compound being to abrasive, only certain brands are recommended etc but in the end I got the service manager to take a close look and he took pics and sent them off to Seat, now I'm having 4 New rims all round not refurbed even though only 3 need doing.

My warranty ends early June but when I bought the car it was extended until September, it didn't stop them delaying the issue for two weeks mind, I had to chase them up and remind them of the extension and air my annoyance for the obvious delay.

With regards to your 56 plate the only way to find out would be to ring the company extending your warranty and ask. Is there not a description of what is covered with your policy?

Used mine twice and had no problems but I doubt any extended warranty would cover wheels
