Just bought a roomster. Is it a Fabia with a different tin box, or a mutant fabia with some octavia components as well? If the latter, which elements are fabia, and which octavia, and in the absence of a Roomster Haynes manual, will a fabia haynes book be of any use? Thanks, hj

Hope you like your Roomster, yes the front end is a the same as a Fabia along with the engine and drive train, the rear axle and suspension shares a lot of parts with the Octavia. The workshop manual for the fabia should cover most of what you need.There are electronic manuals available that cover the Roomster

As I understand it the Roomster is :-

6Y Fabia with 5J skin up to the B pillar. Rear beam is Mk1 Octavia, the rest is Mutant.

I would go with a 5J fabia Haynes manual if such a thing exsits.
