32k in my Monte worry free, then Christmas dash lights time!

Featured Replies

Driving home from work yesterday and the power cuts off, glow plug light starts flashing, management light comes on and Engine Fault - Workshop appears!

Never missed a beat before, booked into the workshop tomorrow so will be interesting to see what it is!

It's a 1.6TDI 105bhp

Good luck, fingers crossed it's nothing serious, hope it is still under warranty

Cheers, yeah well under warranty, they said on the phone they are going to order some sensors in so I guess it may be a common thing?

As I said before it's never missed a beat, fingers crossed it will be a one off!

Well got my car back after a few days at the workshop, it was a faulty air mass meter by all accounts.

Had a brand new Fabia Combi 1.2TSI as a loan car and was quite impressed with the performance and economy, however I won't be changing my Monte for it any time soon!

Haven't these air mass meters been causing problems on others ?

Like Golfs Seb ;)

32K? Someone called?

My Audi did the same dash light display but it was a DPF sensor, replaced and then no problems at all.

Glad to hear it wasn't serious :whew:

Yes? :) :p

I'm glad it wasn't serious too!

I thought all the air mass related problems were a thing of the past, I guess not! I have to say though apart from this little blip it's been faultless!
