Strut brace made

Featured Replies

Well I was a bit bored at work today, was a really quick job and I know the size of the tube isn't really ideal but hey, it fits and works ! Made it out of 42mm tube ( free from work :p ) two 10mm plates on either end with an M8 captive nut welded on each side, like I say it was a quick job will probably try get some thinner tube and give it another go ! P.S the edges are rounded now as well.

at least if the car has an impact on the rear quarter the cabin space will not be compromised lol

I like the chunkyness of the tube it makes it look purposeful. Is it just wedged in there tom?

Hmm looks good, i should make one of these since im a pipefitter lol

p.s it does feel a bit firmer into the corners too.

I could be tempted if you fancy doing them to sell. Saw it on instagram looks good

Depends on price bud

I presume the back seats still fit with the thicker tube lol

Can you put up a pic of the ends of the brace where the fixings are?

i didn't get a photo of that mate, basically just a 10mm thick plate with a 10mm hole drilled into it and then and M8 nut welded onto the plate and obviously that's welded onto the tube
