Removing instrument panel perspex cover

Featured Replies

Any tips on removing the perspex instrument panel cover? The previous owner of my car must have had this off at some point since there are a number of dirty marks really visible depending on how the sunlight hits the dash, somewhat annoying little problem.

Thanks in advance.

You will need to remove the cluster, once done it is easy to open it up.

Is your car a mkI or mkII? Your sig says mkI

If prints are on the dial side, isn't this worrying?

The front panel is on the parts program. A scratched one could have been replaced.

Not good on the fitting side though

The dirty marks I am seeing are across the top part of the perspex, where you are looking at the fuel and temp gauges, rest of the display is ok. Strange how it got to be like this in the first place. Thanks Eddie-NL for the link on removing cluster.
