Passenger window installation issue

Featured Replies

hi

the passenger window lifter (right door) had too much friction and I took out the mechanism ('snake') to clean and grease it.

so I did that.

then I put it back, but when I tried to install the window I realized I have a big problem.

if you look at figure below, you'll see that lifter bracket A has 2 oval holes, while lifter bracket B has 2 square holes.

the window has 2 brackets (21, 22) and each one has 2 M6 threaded holes.

my question is this: how do I have to adjust the window installation?

there are 4 possible adjustment holes and I have no idea what to look for to get a smooth operation.

in blue I showed a zoomed view of lifter brackets.

in red I showed the size of window bracket holes.

I guess there are 2 things you need to achieve:

- in the up position - window should be fully seated inside door frame (horizontal & tilt axis)

- in the down position - window should be flush to lower window seals (vertical axis)
