2007 CAN locations (another)

Featured Replies

so got my upgraded CAN gateway from ED (cheers mate)

had the glove box off and cant see it there

where else could i find it as it seems there could be a whole lot of places it could be lol some say i would have take the wipers off and getting to it that way? any other options to get at it?

If its not behind the glovebox its behind the wipers. Its mot that bad. There's a guide somewhere on a golf forum if you and linked in my thread on converting to ops (search ops pdc). 30 mins work max and easier than going under the dash.

^ What he said.

It's above the driver's right foot above the relays.

Remove wiper arms, rubber trim, scuttle panel & wiper motor/linkage and there is a rubber cover on the OS of the vehicle with three nuts hiding it on.

It's under there.

I've linked to the guide from a thread on this forum and described it in more detail somewhere on here before.

As long as the wiper arms come off easily, it really is a 30 minute job.

so wipers off is easier then going under the dash?

IMO, yes. Much.

go through the dash is easier in my opinion

take the light switch out ( push the dial in and turn to 12 ' o clock and pull )

prise the trims off on either side

remove the 2x screws

and the on on the side

and the 2x lower down screws

and you will see a relay plate, move that to one side and the gateway is in the back

Don't let Harry Hill know about this thread!

interior plastics dont agree with my heavy hands lol

I'd rather stand and look into the engine bay in the light than lie on my back fumbling with the relay plate in the dark.

Just my opinion...
