Blue tooth conproblem

Featured Replies

When I collected my car a few weeks ago, the sales person set up the blue tooth, no problem.

It worked fine until my phone went in for repair and I lost everything instaled.

Over the phone the sales person explained the set up process very well.

I sucessfully instaled the phone (samsung Galaxy)

The instalation lasts about a day, then fails, and I have to re instal all over.

What's going wrong?

Start from basics.

Remove the pairing from both devices and then re-pair. You will probably get a 'Do you want the phone to automatically connect' style message on the phone but may have missed it as it would probably be in your pocket. Ensure you tick the relevant box and see if that solves the problem.

Thanks John Boy

How do I "remove the pairing from both devices" please

Same thing happened today. Connected ok on the drive. Drove 5ml and lost connection.

Did an experiment. Switched car off. switched phone off. Switched phone on. went to bluetooth settings, clicked "make phone discoverable" (which gives me the 120 seconds to complete everything).

Turned car on. Connected ok.

going out again soon.... will see if it lasts.

Goodnight Grandma

Thanks again.

I think I've solved it.

At the end of the instalation process I get a screen on me phone asking me if i want to accept or not this device. I have been accepting. However I failed to notice a very small tick box on that screen which said "always allow this device?"

I've ticked that and it seems ok now

Still not right.

This morning connected ok.

went somewhere

2 hrs later started for home, connected ok, but half way home lost connection.

Re installed yet again but didn't get the final "always allow this device" option

Will see what happens
