The brushless ones you mention are pretty good, although I've only ever seen two of them.

Most do have very grubby bushes. The arc ones seem to be better looked after.

Thanks to this felt guilty and just went and gave mine a wash....twice in two weeks now its unheard of!

Cheers for the response guys, think I will leave it grubby. Will clean it next month or hope it rains :)

Hell no!!!

Slightly off topic, but our local IMO car wash has had to repeatedly drop his prices after a few local hand car washes staffed by European workers opened up.

Before this I noticed on my travels around Staffs and the West Mids that these IMO washes varied quite a lot price wise, suppose charging what the area would pay?

BTW our local IMO guy was a surly sod so maybe his customer service face is a lot brighter now as he fights off the cheap opposition., still at least these guys do a hand wash, still better than a machine beating crap out of your paintwork!

Funny, I just washed by car in an automated wash for the first time in my life two days ago. Normally I jet wash them manually, but after driving through some rainy/muddy conditions, even jet-washing it two times didn't get rid of the stains. So, I bit the bullet and went to the automated wash. Far as I can tell, no swirls and it came out clean too.

Unfortunately, I've still to see a hand wash in Switzerland, they're either jet or automated.
