Puncture Kit

Featured Replies

I ordered as an extra the spare wheel kit when I got my car. Now I am trading it next week, due to buying a caravan, I am thinking of removing the wheel kit and putting in what Skoda supply.

I cant see any reason giving the dealer something that they made me pay for in the first place, so what is originally supplied, a can of Tyreweld and a plastic disposable glove or is there more?

Thanks

I would just take it out. I very much doubt the dealer will check for it when you trade in the car.

Maybe there's a small compressor like with Audi's although somehow I doubt it. You can get them for less than £10 if you're really concerned but (as above) its unlikely the dealer will check. I had one with mine but put it in another car when I sold that to a dealer - keeping the spare alloy. Cost me a new tyre to match the others though...

My car - a secondhand buy - came with a spare but no jack or wheel brace. The dealer sorted it, but with little grace. I would take the spare, and if your concience bothers you, drop a tin of tyre squidge in the boot.

A neighbours' Honda Accord had a very nice pump and repair kit, as well as the spare he insisted was supplied FOC.
