OK after working well all winter keeping me warm I turned it to cold turned it on and nothing not even on 4 when standing still when on the move you get a gentle bit of moving air which does not change which number its on and you can change where it comes from still and change it to hot or cold so is it the switch gone or the fan and am I looking at yet another bill. That sounds more like the switch/ resistor pack to me. check your fuse first then start perhaps looking for a new switch set second hand or something?

You should be able to hear it clearly when on "4" - full fan power. Especially if you move the air direction controls whilst it's blasting.

Problem solved it was a fuse in the end

Similar problem all of a sudden today except it works on 4 just not on 1-3. Can't imagine that it would be a separate fuse controlling the faster speed though. Will try swapping he fuse anyway as I have a load spare.
