Caravan Towing Mirrors

Featured Replies

Picked up my new car yesterday ( SUPERB TWINDOOR 170 4X4 MANUAL), all towbar'd and ready to go, went to fit my suck it and see mirrors, and horror of horrors they don't fit, the superb mirrors are too deeply recessed for these to work. Called into my local caravan dealer tried a few different millenco mirrors, but none seemed to fit very well.

Anyone out their amongst the caravanners who has found a good fitting, your help and input would be appreciatted

Strange I have used Suck it and See mirrors with no probs since I bought my car, I too couldn't find any Milenco mirrors that fit well so thats why I bought the Suck it and See mirrors, I have no problem with the recess of the mirror and can move the mirror around in all directions when the Suck it and See mirror is fitted also. Again strange!

I think my towing mirrors are millenco and they fit,and have been using them for 41/2 years. Will check tomorrow and let you know.

Hi MLJ,

I tow our Coachman Pastiche 460/2 with a Superb Estate 170. I would strongly recommend the Milenco Grand Aero mirrors with convex lenses. They fit well to the topside of the door mirrors and are rock solid. They give you a better breadth of vision than other mirrors I have used previously, in particular you can see from the kerb up to the top of the caravan - very useful, if after a motorway run you are negotiating narrow lanes to a CL. We have been to the South of Spain and back, round France and many excursions in the UK. Although more expensive than others, they have been well worth it.

Enjoy your new towcar.

Cheers

Seat position/ drivers height will alter mirror angle which will alter depth of housing at outside edge

Thanks I will go back to my local caravan dealer and try a pair of these

I use the Milenco Aero (not Grand Aero) and they are fine. Fit them to the top of the mirror housing, not the bottom.
