Mercedes' Sea-Class

omething fishy is going on at Mercedes! Believe it or not, the firm claims it has modelled its latest creation on the tropical boxfish, in an attempt to discover the perfect vehicle shape.

Engineers turned to nature in order to find a design that was both aerodynamic and safe -

and the boxfish fitted the bill. A scale model was produced, and when it was wind tunnel tested, bosses discovered it was the most aerodynamic shape ever built on four wheels. The concept is called The Bionic Car, and was unveiled at Mercedes' innovation symposium in Washington DC.

Good on Mercedes !!!

Remember all those wacky cars that appear each year from the Japanese at the Tokyo motorshow ? It at least shows there's some creative thinking going on.

Sea Class ! Actually, what's left as A B C E G M R S V have all gone now

Hold on, it's a 0.19Cx (drag coefficient) people carrier, not a sportscar. So I see no problem, on the oposite, it might not look great, but it has a strong point for what it is: aerodynamics.
