Just managed to remove the front centre armrest from the centre console. With three large teenage children in the back it was becoming unbearable for the centre passenger, and with the armrest down it messed around with my access to the handbrake!

Thanks to Dancool27 and this article on fitting an armrest:

I have two queries:

1. I have reconnected the two bolts to the top of the attached picture that held the mount for the armrest in place. The third one (at the bottom) was a combination of nut and extension thread and obviously belongs with the armrest assembly, but if someone else wants to use the armrest will they need the other two bolts?

2. Removing the armrest has left a hole where a plastic compartment/tray would sit, with a rubber mat in it. Can anyone confirm that these are the two bits of trim I would need to find? And can anyone reccommend an online supplier?

Just go to a scrap yard m8, or put yours on sale on here for £30 to £40 with an exchange of the blanking tray. That's how I got mine, posted the tray and got the armrest

Good idea! If someone's putting in an armrest they'll have a spare compartment/tray! Genius! Thanks!

No problem m8
