octy vrs mk1 owners - what are you paying?

Featured Replies

My renewal came in at 330 this year - pretty happy with that myself.

What do you guys pay to keep your vrs on the road?

Modified ones im especially interested how much extra it costs?

I've been paying about £490 through Sky insurance on my modified.

Thats with a Milltak turbo back exhaust, green panel modded air intake, Forge turbo intake, Forge dump valve 007p, Pro Alloy FMIC, 4 bar pressure reg,

Stage 2 Revo remap and koni FSDs... All done by those nice people at JKM Performance.

Hope this might help a bit.

Mine is modified, been with Brentacre since I got the car, this year they wanted £650, phoned round and Chris Knott was the cheapest at £490, it was on 6k a year but now it's on 10k. Weird thing is that it's still with highway

Mine's standard but may help with the comparison.

34 y/o with 13 years NCB.

B rated postcode.

Estimated 8k miles per year.

£217 with AXA via the Meerkat.

The previous 2 years were around £380 with Elephant. Cheapest they could do this year with updated details was £320 so I switched.

In 4 years of owning a modified car I can honestly say that flux have never given me a competitive quote, this time I didn't even bother calling them lol

Don't want to upset anyone here but you can't really compare quotes effectively with each other unless you live in the same street, do the same job, have the same driving history and same age of vehicle as each other. Having the same car model is not enough. You'll get answers as diverse as "I pay £217" and "I was quoted £670".

If you want to gauge how much you'll pay you'll waste less time by just picking up the phone and asking your provider (or us ;)).

On a standard vrs ive been getting quotes for around 250 so not that much differance to others

But the OP is interested in modified and that's where you'll see even bigger differences depending on the mod. :)
