Have sold my Yeti, replaced with a countryman and got the benefit of some extraordinary poor service from MINI, so lesson learnt for 2015.

A boring story about reasons for the change, but needed to get the cash out and go to a lease model for two years. Also wanted ipod connectivity and DAB, alongside a number of creatire comforts without paying more.

First impressions, better tracking on the MINI so maybe should not have got the Moon alloy upgrade, however as it is the 1.6D engine works harder and is noisier, the Bolero controls were far superior than the MINI connect system, where you seem to have to lift, pull, twist and turn to go through the menus and select options. Also eats a little more fuel than the elegance which is a big surprise.

Just wanted to say this is a great board, much like MINI2 was before it was bought out. I will look in occasionally and will seriously consider going back to Yeti ownership in the future, as my wife preferred it.

Hope it works out for you - see you soon!

See you again, when you're bored stiff with the Countryman. :giggle:

Sad to her you have sold the Monster; that's at least two Special Build 4x4 DSG's out there now on the used market, the other one is here;

Note the incorrect listing of 17" alloys :giggle:

A car buying decision based on ipod connectivity and DAB radio sounds a little odd?

I have never been bored stiff with, or indeed by; a countryman. But then I have led a sheltered life thus far.................

Sorry to see you go, MMM&M. I hope you find the Countryman's wheels comfortable. :hi:

140 DSG under a year old, Edinburgh? Did it used to live nearer Glasgow?

Isn't the connectivyt of Bolero through the MDI not good? I've MDI in my car. Was thinking of getting the cable for IPod.

That's what I'd guessed at, but wouldn't have if you hadn't mentioned the wheels typo.

Perhaps they found the floppy ride unacceptable :giggle:

Get the cable, MDI control through any of the touch screen units is one of the easiest systems to use. Although, I would probably go a different route and get the USB cable and plug a self powered USB HDD into the MDI so you can have any/all your music to hand.

Do very similar with the MDI in the Monte but use a 2G data stick connected to the USB lead supplied with the car (on request in place of the ipod lead).
