Well Its Ordered

Featured Replies

Now ordered a 2.0TDi Elegance manual in black pearlescence :

  • Beige alacantra interior
  • Wood trim (think it looks better than aluminium with beige interior)
  • Columbus upgrade
  • ACC
  • Xenons
  • Winter pack (wanted heated seats)
  • LED rear lights
  • Lane assist
  • Heated windscreen

Some accessories added for when its here, which will probably be sept for a 63 plate !

Will be odd from a Yeti to an Octy as I loved the extra height of the Yeti, but from a financial point of view I got a good trade in price, and I will save quite a lot a month, plus another 3 yr warranty and free servicing as well as £20 car tax instead of £180 a year so financially it made sense to change. Looking forward to it. Never had a black car before and don't see too many on here with them but thought the beige interior would look good in black. My yeti is white and have the same colour interior so I know how bright it makes the cabin.

Hope I will be able to squeeze into the Octy forum from the Yeti one

Enjoy the new motor, should look very smart and I know what you mean about the ride height; currently running around in an Octy II loan car and I feel I'm sitting lower than even in the Monte :wonder:

lol yes it was the main reason I will miss my beastie, but financially it was a sound move

Welcome to the Octy forums. I wish you easy waiting! I have only 2.5 weeks to wait but it is hard.

Same issue moving from a Qashqai but really happy though. Black sounds great as well

Wow Plumber very like the one I have on order lol.....first time I have seen a black one....wonder why its being sold ? only 3000 miles ??

I had a similar quandary going from the yeti to the Octavia as I've enjoyed the added ride height, you've also got the extra length in the Octavia but like you just made complete financial sense.

However, I've gone for a different, yet seemingly still surprisingly uncommon colour choice in the corrida red - not seen any outside the launch / demos but think it looks great in the combi (all be it with the chrome, which I'm not going to get !)

The red looks stunning on the youtube Octy launch by Skoda...........think its a nice colour especially when you see it with the red light clusters, and like you I wanted the chrome as both our colours would show off better with the chrome, but not to be. Yes the Octy was just so buyable with the high trade in price of the Yeti, and as someone said on the Yeti forums.......3 yr old yeti about to be out of warranty, for a new car saving £150 a month, new warranty etc.....just makes sense for us at this moment in time. Let us see the pics when you get it........have you got build date yet ? guessing mine will be july sometime so hopefully looking at 63 plate.

The high trade in is where I was stung a little as I'm a (private) contract hire buyer - I was half tempted to buy the yeti but can pick up the elegance spec octy (against 140se 4x4 yeti) for £35 a month less, before any options but including servicing, bit of a no brainer really.

Ordering is a funny one tho as with the yeti I ordered early may for a September delivery, but was told by dealer last week it had been built and was on its way to port !

I've ended up rejecting it because I'd said all along I might as well take advantage of the front assist once its added as standard, the mrs has also decided that she wants the comfort of the park assist. (So I'm not sure whether its sat in stock but there's a corrida red with Kessy and winter pack (no chrome !) built and raring for the uk roads somewhere)

Yes funny when you sit twiddling your thumbs for the yeti, the Octy is much quicker. I hung on because I wanted the ACC.
