Another 2.7kg lost, cruise control unit and stalk removed always looked abit out of place in the engine bay and hated the stalk on the side of the steering wheel used to hit my knee on it sometimes, so removed

Rear seats don't weigh too much, but they might come out in the future, gonna have the back apart tomorrow see how much the rear speakers weigh and what insulations under the carpet, worth removing,

If i remember there is quite a bit of insulation, may be mistaken, been a few years now haha, i replaced the speakers on my one with sony xplode 6x9s in the rear and 6" in the front, average weight really. You can get carbon bonnets for them too, one of the lads on the forum years ago had one, really nice bit of kit. Also titanium exhausts from performance coupe, another great looking bit of kit !

The stainless exhaust I've got on was quite a lot lighter then the standard one, titaniums a tad expensive lol,

Been busy today, stripped out the rear to remove the rear speakers and some sound deadening, did the rear footwells and below the back seats :) speakers were 2.1kg each and I got 4kg of sound deadening off so another 8.2kg gone, some pics

This is the sound deadening I'm taking about

Horrible stuff to get off

Rear footwell done

Took some padding off the underside of the carpet too at the back

Rear speakers gone

So in total so far with bits removed I am

Air con 15.7kg

Alarm wiring 1kg

Rear wiper 3.3kg

Air box silencer 3.8kg

Cruise control 2.7kg

Spare wheel and kit 17kg

Rear speakers 4.2kg

Sound deadening 4kg

So 51.8kg down on standard so far if my adding ups right :)

Bit more weight gone

Found the jack in the o/r when doing the rear lights so that's gone now removed both front fogs, and the alarm horn,

So jack was 3.7kg, alarm horn bracket and bracket for jack was 1.1kg and both fogs were 2.5kg, so another 7.3kg gone, bringing the total to 59.1kg! Also fitted the 3.5 rear lights and poly front and back engine mounts originally brought from shark racing in the USA I got for a bargain price :) some pics

One of the mounts

Top buy for these are the strut braces, when I had my v6 it under steered like a pig but strut braces and some camber adjustment made a load of difference,
