MDI problem....

Featured Replies

Evening guys,

Fitted the MDI myself not long after getting my car nearly 2 years ago, had it coded with VCDS and its been working perfectly with my old 2006 ipod video.

In the last couple of weeks i've started to have trouble in that the MDI can no longer see the ipod after swtiching the ignition off and back on again, every time i turn the car on I get a message "No Medium Available" and I have to unplug my ipod and plug it back in, after which it works fine.

My first thought was a loose connection but it never has any throuble while driving which is where i'd expect a loose connection to show up......

Any ideas? Its driving me nuts!

Unplug all cables, clean all connectors and try again.

Then keep your fingers crossed that the dock connector in your iPod is not failing. It's pretty common.
