Going into tomorrow morning to sign Docs, and they hope to have me in it on Friday or latest Saturday.

My insurance company are a bit of a rip off (charge admin charge to change cars!!) and I gather that Skoda insurance is very reasonable, so may just change 2 months early.

Cost me £15 for the insurance (until end of Aug) plus a £25 admin fee with RAC....took out the free 7 day insurance with Skoda and they quoted me for the full year with the new car...it was only £30 more than what I'm currently paying the RAC for my 06 Octy. Very interested to see what RAC quote come renewal time, but based on £15 for 2 months, it's looking like £90 minimum so at the moment Skoda insurance are looking good for my business.

just done comparable quotes. my insurnace runs out in october, but it looks like it should be about £20.00 per month LESS than I am currently paying.

Yes Skoda insurance is competitive - took week's free insurance and was then quoted £340 for the year to start with.

They were quick to drop to £270 to match the quote from my current insurance co.

Excellent for me too £223 for me, SWMBO, 20k miles /year, business use included. We've both got full no claims and no points. In fact £200 cheaper than Toyota Insurance were for my 1.4D Yaris that is half a dozen insurance group lower. With cheaper insurance, £20 / year road tax, and nearly 60 mpg I am amazed how cheap this car is to run.

It's great when you get a new car so I hope it all goes smoothly for you on Friday. Try Saga if you've over that certain age-my vRS was £250 fully comp which I was happy with. Probably not the cheapest but you get what you pay for I guess.

Definitely, especially the size of the car - free servicing as well for three years!
