Covering The MDI Slot

Featured Replies

I am the soon to be owner of a Fabia VRS. Looking at pictures of the car i notice that the MDI shelf is rather exposed.

In use does anyone feel that their ipod is on show to the world when parked up?

My initial thought is to make a cover out of some perspex covered in vinyl as close a match as possible to the dash colour.

Anyone did anything similar?

just take your player out when you park up.....

Never leave the player in the car, take it with you. A thief will know where to look, and a nice cover where they expect to see an empty space will say " Break in, I have something to hide".

As said above I leave nothing on display in my car, if you do you are asking for trouble, what's an I-pod lol.

Nope can't see it. Due to the fact that even the wire is hidden never mind the iPod. Plus with the slightly tinted windows it helps.

I don't worry about it. Use a black USB drive or black iPod case, put the cable end inwards and it's virtually invisible, even if you knew where to look.

The almost entirely black interior plus OE tint makes it pretty hard to see in anyway.
