Leather door panels - L&K, or retrim?

Featured Replies

I`ve fitted a set of Leon leather seats, and have recently bought a black Golf Mk4 carpet from another forum member, that will be getting fitted soon. I would like a bit of leather on the door panels to complete this transformation, but with the L&K leather door panels seeming to be rarer than hens teeth it seems, I`m thinking of alternatives. How much would a leather trim be on the standard vrs door panels?

**BUMP** nobody?

I'm in a similar position after fitting S3 seats, if you ever venture near someone to get a price let me know

Sold the S3 door cards recently and the guy had a friend who'd done the re-trim in an Octy and thought it was around £300 *ouch*

I'm just hoping some come up on eBay poorly listed!

Was tempted to dye the vRS ones black, done some mats recently and was pleased with the results, finding the bottles to do the doors is another thing ha-ha...

Wow, £300 is just a bit on the high side for me.

Hmm, never thought of using dye on the door panels, this could be an option?

Was gutted, as before I got the seats last year, a set of leather L&K door panels went for £40!!

A set was on there very recently for £100, but the plastic was a lighter grey colour, so the leather panels would`ve had to be taken off and put onto the vrs panels.

Yeah, too high for me too...

The dye worked great on the mats (not for the vRS) and went on well from a spray bottle, you do yours first and I'll see what they come out like!

£40 would have been a cracking bargain, it's just finding stuff local and at a reasonable price

Good luck, if I see any I won't tell you ha-ha, maybe after I've secured some of my own...

Must admit, I am tempted to spray/dye the panels, I`ll have a think about it.

If I see another set after I`ve bought mine I`ll let you know too lol good luck :bandit:
