I managed to knacker my ring gear today. I need a flywheel with half decent ring gear does anyone have a spare one or just the ring gear possibly?

I have had a look on VAGCAT and the part no for the octavia diesel is the same apart from the last letter it is a B for the octy and a G for the Felly. would I be foolish to seek out a octy one or perhaps one from another VAG car? I've had little luck finding a felly one in Norfolk. Any ideas would be ace. I shall be extracting mine on saturday weather permitting so I can haul mine along to the local scrappys to compare.

erm yes, you would be foolish to seek one from another type of vag car, it needs to be the real mcoy I'm afraid, the flywheels fitted to the vw engined felicia's are totally unique to those cars, it's a thick heavy flywheel and the ring gear tooth pitch is unique to the felicia.
