G'day everyone, I have just bought my first Skoda its a fully optioned Scout and I love it! Until now I have been driving Toyota Landcruisers and other larger 4WDs, so I am still getting used to the hubcap view as opposed to sitting high above most other road users.

I will post some pictures this weekend.

My Dad bought his first Octavia back in the 60s he covered well inexcess of 100,000 miles in it with no problems at all, he bought his second in 1971 an Octavia van which we used for security patrols, a good vehicle apart from the rear main oil seal which had a bad habit of pouring oil on to the clutch. I drove this car from Harrogate to Derby down the M1 we had to hit 90MPH on the downhills because that was the only way we could get enough momentum to get up the other side, this car finished its life as a site vehicle on the SinFin Lane Industrial Estate. Dad then bought his last Octavia in 2007 or 8 My brother still has that car.

We once had a weekend in Benidorm with the Skoda Owners Club, that was fun!
