Skoda Fabia II 5J Polybush kit now available

Featured Replies

We're pleased to say that Fabia II owners now have a polyurethane replacement bush option for their cars!

These bushes are now available from us at Shark Performance and we will be holding them in stock.

Hi,

What is the benefit of that polymer?

I take it these are 2009 MY> as before then they had console bushes like the MK1.

Polyurethane flexes less than rubber.

Lesser rolling = better feel and feedback from the road.

Also, it's abit noiser and sends through more vibrations than with rubber since it flexes less than rubber too...

I just had my Powerflex Front Axle Rear Bushes and Rear Axle Bushes installed, they have made a big improvement.

As Confide said less bodyroll, better feedback BUT I didn't get more vibration in the cabin or steering wheel, then again I didn't change all bushes like the kit at the top.

It's only minor addition to vibrations, I had changed all bushes in my SAAB excluding the hydraulic enginemounts and there was no rattle in that car...

It also had it's balancingaxles removed and it didn't make any vibrations from that either!

Well-built engine in those cars ;).

There has been for well over a year. I have them  Plus superpro have the additional castor/anti lift bushes as well.

For those unsure, polybushes made a BIG difference to the steering response of the car. £280 incl fitting for the FULL Superpro setup (Incl the castor/anti lift bushings) is awesome bang for buck IMO. Also bearing in mind i have the full setup front/rear i noticed no difference on vibrations.

Is there much difference in life of the bushes? Wouldn't want them wearing out at a much higher rate than the standard ones. Sounds good though!

Notthat im aware of.  The Superpro come with a 36k warranty anyway iirc.  Thats pretty decent level of cover.

Nice! Thanks :) Out of interest, you have the anti-lift bushes on yours. Is this only for when you have lowered suspension on the car, or can they be fitted to a standard setup? Also, what exactly is the difference in driving, and any negative effects ie. handling, or tyre wear

Excuse the ignorance...

They will fit on a lowered or std car.  They are OEM replacment bushes with a slightly off centre mounting point for the control arm which gives the additional caster angle.

I have nothing but positive things to say about it. Great mod, and excellent VFM.
