New Octavia VRS driver - Seem to be getting a lot of attention

Featured Replies

So, I've only had my Blue '58 Octavia vRS for half a day and already I've been honked at twice.

First time I didn't know it was about, but then I saw this guy, in an A5, give me a smile+thumbs up. At first I didn't know what to make of it, then I twigged, he was saying "hey, nice car".

Second time was in a Fabia vRS. He looked young (I'm 40 btw.... no mid-life crisis jokes please.)

Anyway, I'm wondering if i should have gone for the silver one I saw first.... But it looks so nice in Blue!

I'm note sure I like the extra attention, though hopefully I'll grow into it. Before this car, I had an little '53 Seat Diesel thing. It was my banger, and I loved it. I treated it like ****!, but It was cheap, nippy (100bhp), held it's own on the M1, and no one ever noticed me.

What's everyone else's experience been like? or am I just being paranoid (new car, see-um-everywhere syndrome)?

Hi and welcome aboard.

Beware of Silver Octavia vRS's specially on the M'way, they are used by plod - I have Silver & people mistake me for plod specially when I am wearing a black top :)

Welcome to the club

No need to panic, if you go to the 'spotted' section of the forum (to my mind it should be called 'spotted VRS'!!) everyone is on the lookout for each other. Like one big happy (most of the time!) family. :sun:

Or to quote the penguins on 'Madagascar' - "Smile and wave boys, smile and wave".
