Please read if you have 8x18 RS6 Replica wheels

Featured Replies

If you have 8x18 RS6 Replica alloys with 225/40/18 tyres, please can you reply (or PM me) the offset of your wheels

Can you also tell me if you have had any issues with the wheels rubbing with passengers/luggage? Any problems if you have lowerwed the car? Any comments on the effect on handling?

Thanks for reading :)

Basically I have bought 8x18 ET33 wheels with 225/45/18 tyres and they rub 4 up over speed bumps. I'm sending them back and getting ET35, which I understand will sit the wheel 2mm further into the arch.

As far as I remember mine are 8x18 ET35 with 225/40/18's. Mine is running stock suspension but I've not had any rubbing problems at all. Even with the car fully loaded.

As per pm mine are ET35 (225/40/18) with no problems rubbing although the arches do get pretty close (fingers width) when fully laden.

It might also depend on what make of tyre you are running. I had an Impreza before, 215/40 Toyo's rubbed, the same size Goodyear F1's didn't! Comparing the shoulder profile of the two the Goodyears were more rounded, the Toyo's were very square hence the rubbing

Not RS6's but mine are 8x18's on 225x40x18 Pirelli's.

ET35 with no rubbing, fully laden with people and a bootful of ICE!

Thanks for your replies guys. I was about to say a lot of it is down to the shoulder of the tyre, and I suppose mine were only just scuffing and after a couple of hundered miles perhaps it would have stopped, but I'd rather get the ET35s and be sure :)

Could the moderators or staff please add the 8x18 RS6 replica fitment to the FAQ?

as you've probably already guessed the problem is with the offset of the wheels they sent you. ET35 will be fine.
